Yoga unites the mind, body and soul in a way that eases tension, reduces inflammation and promotes health and well being. Fostering a commitment to practice can lead to an overall feeling of wellness. Blossom with Me is influenced by Hatha Yoga, Asthanga Yoga, Vinyasa Flow, Trauma and Addiction recovery and Yoga through the transition of Breast Cancer.
Yoga can be considered the glue that connects the mind and the physical body. Through practice you may develop strength, flexibility, endurance and the ability to focus the mind from wandering. A strong yoga practice can reflect upon other areas of fitness including running, swimming and sports.
Yoga not only helps improve your body, but also helps with mindfulness and meditation. It is important to take a break from daily life in order to focus on yourself and get clarity. Focusing on your breath during practice is key to staying in tune with your mind and body. Meditation is an excellent opportunity to explore how you feel and observe life. It can create an escape as needed from the hustle and bustle of our busy world.
Reiki comes from the Japanese word (Rei) which means “Universal Life Force” and (Ki) which means energy. Reiki is the use of healing hands being placed on or above the body to assist in balancing. A Reiki Practitioner does not give their own energy away but rather, balances the energies within the client and assists in aiding to get rid of energies that do not serve them for their highest good.

Just like every snowflake, no two people are alike. Reiki is experienced by people differently. For instance, you may experience a heightened awareness of what your body is feeling such as tension. Other clients have experienced feelings of relaxation, seeing colors, releasing of emotions and feeling vibrations. The best advice I can give to my clients is to be open to witnessing any experiences without judgment and allow your energies to be balanced. I will play soft music in the background and offer optional essential oil diffusion based on individual preferences. Having a certain goal or intention that you wish to focus on is helpful if your mind begins to wander. Any messages that I receive from your body will be discussed after the session. Please feel free to ask any questions throughout before, during or after.
My passion for yoga began when I was in college during a difficult physical and emotional time in my life, specifically beginning the journey of recovering from disordered eating and working on trauma. Yoga offered a branch that I could come to realize my own mental and physical strengths. I began the journey of teaching in 2009 and am currently a 500 hour experienced-registered yoga teacher (500 E-RYT). I'm presently completing a yoga therapy program. As a Reiki Master since 2018, I have led trainings for 10 reiki practitioners. My goals and aspirations are to empower clients to feel happier in their own bodies, finding a sense of strength and peace. Additionally, I am a qualified somatic therapist and ayurvedic nutritionist.
